I Choose

This week one of my daughter’s was chatting to me about some of her classmates. She was chatting about a kid that sounds like they don’t have the most straightforward home life and how that affects things with her relationships at school.

We all know and can appreciate how an unsteady home can make the rest of our world feel untrustworthy.

My daughter was explaining how this child was making life more difficult for herself through her attitude.

And then she said something so interesting to me: She doesn’t know she can choose.

Yes, here lies our super power: Choice.

In any moment, in every relationship, in all life throws at us, we can choose. At the very least, we choose our attitudes, our responses.

It’s not easy, it is not always fun, but this is where our power lies.

Step in to your power and create the world you want to live in.
